Dear Parents & Players:

As we enter our normal summer session, we are still uncertain about when pools will return to  use in our area. As a result, our summer session this year will be comprised of two phases:

Phase 1 – We will begin the summer session with virtual training sessions for all age groups, conducted by the age group head coach. These virtual training sessions will be scheduled in the afternoons and be at a regularly scheduled time, as determined by the level coach. Virtual practices will include dryland workouts, whiteboard sessions, strategy sessions, and video review. These sessions will be conducted via Zoom, and players will need access to that (free) app.

Summer Session 2020 will begin June 1st and go until July 31st. Registration cost will be $300 per athlete, regardless of level. Registration will open on Friday May 22nd.

Phase 2 – We will wait for our local, County and State governments to determine when it is safe to reopen pools. Once pools reopen, we will set practice hours for each group. As we don’t know when the pools will reopen, we won’t be able to provide any scheduling information for physical training sessions until we have been able to schedule pool time. This could happen at any point during the summer session, and we will be sure to communicate that information to you as soon as we have it.

Sincerely,

West Valley Water Polo Staff
